Has POTS made life challenging?

Overcome Dysautonomia.

Some questions you might have.

Let’s cover the basics…

  • What is POTS? According to HopkinsMedicine.org, POTS is a form of dysautonomia — a disorder of the autonomic nervous system. This branch of the nervous system regulates functions we don’t consciously control, such as heart rate, blood pressure, sweating and body temperature. The key characteristics of POTS are the specific symptoms and the exaggerated increase in heart rate when standing.

  • What does POTS stand for? Postural (the position of your body) Orthostatic (standing upright) Tachycardia (increased heart rate) Syndrome (a group of symptoms)

  • What are the different types of POTS? Hypovolemic POTS, Hyperadrenergic POTS, Neuropathic POTS, and Secondary POTS.

  • What are some common POTS symptoms? Fatigue, getting light-headed from sitting or standing a long time, "brain fog" (trouble focusing, remembering, or paying attention), feeling your heart pounding or skipping a beat, nausea, headaches, excessive sweating, feeling shaky, struggling with exercising or physical activities, pale face, purple hands or feet.

  • LMNT is a hydration drink containing lots of electrolytes that help keep you hydrated. It is a powder that comes in a packet that you add to a bottle or glass of water. It is higher in salt than Liquid IV.
